Kuantan Port Expansion of Inner Harbour Basin, Malaysia
The project involves the expansion of the existing Kuantan Port by excavating a new inner harbour basin. The expansion involves the excavation of approximately 15 million cubic meters of sand and clay to be disposed in an approved dumping ground off shore. Suitable fill was placed behind a constructed rock bund on the foreshore to create additional land for future port use. Surface infrastructure roads, site drainage and other services were provided.
