Proposed New Modification on Al Ojayli Link Road
The Ojayli Road is located approximately 25km west from Kalba, exiting from Sharjah-Kalba Road. The Client, Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MOID) has appointed Al Nuaimi Group as the Design and Build Contractor to upgrade the Ojayli road for the purpose of mitigating the flooding issues that are blocking the road access to Ojayli. Consultant HSS (CHSS), in the capacity as the Consultant for the Design and Build Contractor, has been tasked to carry out the study and design of this improvement works.

Maju Expressway (KL-Putrajaya Highway)
The Dedicated Highway is a 42km expressway that links Kuala Lumpur to the new KL International Airport, Sepang. The Concession for the project was signed in Oct’1997 and was deferred in Dec’1998 after the economic crisis and later reactivated in July 2002. After which, the project was renamed Kuala-Lumpur Putrajaya Highway (KLPH). Only the stretch between Kuala Lumpur – Putrajaya (26km) was implemented. The remaining 16km from Putrajaya to KLIA was deferred to a later date. HSSI were the detailed design consultants for the project which comprised 10km of viaduct in the busy Kuala Lumpur area and 16km of at-grade section.
The scope of work comprised;
- Five (5) nos of interchanges at Jln Tun Razak/Kg.Pandan, Salak Selatan,Kuchai Lama, Bt.Jalil and Putrajaya
- Two (2) rest & service areas with a full range of facilities
- Two (2) toll plazas, supervision building, administration building, maintenance depot.
- 10km of viaduct and 16km of at-grade section.
- Ground treatment comprised pile embankments, stone columns and excavation & replacement

Penang Bridge Widening
The existing Penang Bridge plays a key role for commuting and tourism trips and it is heavily used by cars, lories and motorcycles. Today, the level of traffic volume is higher that expected and hence it is evident that the existing bridge can no longer meet the medium to long term traffic demand. Widening of the existing bridge to fill lane traffic to meet the Government’s Economic Policies and improve the level of service on the existing bridge is essential. HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd was appointed as the Engineering Consultants to the third lane widening of the existing Penang Bridge from two lanes to three lanes.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) was constructed on a designated site at Sepang some 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. The works for the Phase 1 was to develop an airport capable of handling 25 million passengers per annum.

New Low Cost Carrier Terminal 2 (LCCT2)
The new LCCT will be able to handle 30 million passengers a year with capacity for expansion of up to 45 million passengers per annum. It is located near the existing main terminal.

Kang Keng Airport, Cambodia.
Integrated Sdn Bhd and Sir William Halcrow and Partners (M) Ltd in a joint venture association (HSSI Halcrow) were appointed by Ariston Sdn Bhd to undertake the preliminary and detailed design of Phase 1 Development of Kang Keng Airport in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

Langkawi International Airport Terminal Building
Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAB) decided to redevelop the airport and its associated facilities. The design of the extension took into consideration the facilities needed up to the year 2005 as well as commercial and retail facilities. The existing Terminal Building had been extended on both sides. A 160m long underground cable trench measuring 3m wide and 1.5 deep carried the mechanical and electrical services from the plant room to the terminal building.
As civil and structural consulting engineers, HSS Integrated had the responsibility to help coordinate the project. Inspection of the works to safeguard against defects and deficiencies in the work was done with the contractor. As part of the company’s quality management policy, HSSI conducted inspection check testing of all materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications and plans.
